Why do people advertise after getting acceptance letters? Getting an acceptance letter does not guarantee admission. It is one step of admission at most of the Universities (while many universities do not require an acceptance letter).
Remember a person gets one admission/scholarship in one university then why more acceptance letters?
Remember a person gets one admission/scholarship in one university then why more acceptance letters?
When a person gets more than one acceptance letters for example 6 acceptance letters he/she is actually wasting 5 seats/scholarships in 5 Universities (Labs). I met many professors in China, they told me that Pakistani students get more than one acceptance letter, but at the time of admission he/she goes to another university and our PhD/MS position remains vacant. When we (professors) give acceptance letter to a person considering vacant position/s in our Lab, we do not give acceptance letter to another person for the same position, but at the end when the student opts another university our PhD/MS position remains vacant. That is the reason we (professors) avoid giving an acceptance letter to the Pakistani students.
Those getting more than one acceptance letters are actually
- Wasting the chances of admission/scholarships of other students.
- Wasting the position in the concerned university for example if a person is getting 3 acceptance letters, 2 positions in two universities are wasted.
- Pakistani students are losing trust in the eyes of Professors and also damaging the Image of Pakistan.
- Getting more than one acceptance letter is actually a sort of cheating.
- Discourage this trend of getting more acceptance letters in this way maximum students will get the chances of admission/scholarships.
